Cricket has been played in Dacre Banks since the late 1830’s and the ground we now use is our fourth home. This is the Max Pullan Playing Field (pictured above) which lies between the villages of Dacre Banks and Summerbridge alongside the River Nidd, in the heart of Nidderdale, some 11 miles to the north west of Harrogate in North Yorkshire.
The field was given to the local community by Jack Pullan in memory of his son Max who died in the first world war. It is managed by the Dacre & Hartwith Playing Fields Association. The Club do not own the ground. We are in effect tenants who pay a significant annual sum to the playing fields association  to be able to use the ground and pavilion.  
The great Herbert Sutcliffe (Yorkshire & England) was born a stone’s throw away from our ground in Summerbridge. The cottage still retains a connection with our club today.
We have two Saturday teams which play in the Nidderdale Amateur Cricket League, one of the largest village cricket leagues in the UK. To see some of the grounds we play on click here. The club was the first winners of this competition in 1894.
We also have a side that plays in the Harrogate Evening League on Wednesday evenings.
